الملخص:
نظرا لأهمية الموضوع وانعكاساته على الصعيد السياسي والاقتصادي والاجتماعي تطرق البحث حول موضوع مهم يختص بكل طبقات المجتمع الا وهو الضرائب المجحفة بحق العراقيين واساليب جمعها وبيان موقف الاهالي من هذه الضرائب التي زادت من هموم الناس فوق همومهم الاخرى وكانت عباء ثقيل عليهم وهم عاش معهم طول حياتهم ، اذ لم تقدر السلطات العثمانية طبيعة المجتمع العراقي وخصوصيته وما كان يعانون من الظلم والحيف الذي نزل عليهم من قبل جامعي الضرائب والرسوم ومدى قسوتهم بالتعامل معهم حين لم يستطع المواطن من دفع هذه الضرائب في فترة من الفترات او عند عجزه عن الدفع لأي ظرف من الظروف .

Abstract: Given the importance of the topic and its repercussions on the political, economic, and social levels, the research dealt with an important topic related to all classes of society, which is the unfair taxes against the Iraqis and the methods of collecting them, and an explanation of the people’s position on these taxes, which increased people’s concerns above their other concerns and were a heavy burden on them, and they lived with them all their lives, The Ottoman authorities did not appreciate the nature and peculiarity of Iraqi society, the injustice and injustice they suffered from by tax and fee collectors, and the extent of their cruelty in dealing with them when the citizen was unable to pay these taxes at any time or when he was unable to pay under any circumstances.
