الملخص:
غطت العديد من الدراسات جوانب كثيرة من تاريخ أوربا في العصر الحديث وعلى وجه الخصوص تاريخ أسرة آل ستيوارت في انكلترا. ومع ذلك لا يزال المجال متاحاً لدراسة موضوعات عديدة تتصل بتلك الاسرة ومن بينها موضوع بحثنا الموسوم: ” ماري الثانية ملكة إنكلترا 1662 – 1694″ , إذ أن المعلومات التاريخية حول مسيرة حياة ماري الثانية هي الاقل مقارنةً مع جميع الملكات الحاكمات الانكليزيات لعدم مشاركتها بصوره مباشرة في حكم انكلترا , كانت ماري الثانية ملتزمة دينياً تجاه مذهبها البروتستانتي فقد أظهرت معارضتها بشكل معلن ضد سياسة الملك جيمس الثاني (والدها) لفرض المذهب الكاثوليكي في انكلترا فضلاً عن احتقارها لسياسة العنف والتشريد ضد البروتستانت في فرنسا, برزت معالم شخصيتها البارزة بمساندتها لخطط زوجها الامير ويليم أورانج في التدخل العسكري والسياسي في خلع الملك جيمس الثاني عن عرش إنكلترا وطاعتها لزوجها في كل قراراته, ورفضها للتاج الانكليزي الا بمشاركة الامير ويليم أورانج معها في تسيير حكم المملكة .

Mary II queen of England

Abstract:
Many studies have covered many aspects of the history of Europe in the modern era, in particular the history of the Stuart family in England. However, there is still room to study many topics related to that family, including the subject of our research entitled: “Mary II, Queen of England 1662 – 1694,” as the historical information about the life path of Mary II is the least compared to all the English ruling queens. Princess Mary was committed Religiously towards her Protestant sect, she openly showed her hostility against the policy of King James II (her father) to impose the Catholic doctrine in England, in addition to her contempt for the policy of violence and displacement against Protestants in France. The features of her prominent personality became apparent in her support of the plans of her husband, Prince Willem of Orange, for military and political intervention in deposing the king. James II abdicated the throne of England, her obedience to her husband in all his decisions, and her rejection of the English crown unless Prince William of Orange participated with her in managing the rule of the kingdom.
